New Salesforce Mobile App January 24, 2020 by admin Thinking in: CRM/AMS, Salesforce The new app was released in October 2019, and with the spring release, all users — including both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience users — will be automatically upgraded to the new Salesforce mobile app experience. What is the new Salesforce Mobile app? The new Salesforce mobile app includes Lightning apps and navigation, customizable record pages, and upgrades to the Lightning App Builder. It also includes Einstein Analytics, Salesforce Maps (beta), and Einstein Voice (beta). This change brings huge upgrades to the Salesforce mobile app that provide more value to admin and end-users: It’s more customizable than everIt’s easier to useIt has powerful new features like Einstein Analytics, Einstein Voice, and Salesforce MapsIn addition, with the Lightning Experience unified across desktop and mobile, Salesforce users can now get a seamless experience working across desktop and mobile. Who is affected by this change? This change will affect only the downloadable app on mobile phones. There will be no changes to the downloadable app on tablets (iOS and Android). Do users have to download a separate app? No. This is an upgrade to the experience within the existing Salesforce mobile app, which is already available on the App Store and Google Play. What action do I need to take? If you do nothing, all your mobile phone users of the Salesforce mobile app will be automatically upgraded in Spring ’20. We highly recommend that admins enable the new Salesforce mobile app using the Salesforce mobile app QuickStart page in Setup today. On the QuickStart page, you’ll find tools to help ease the transition. Run the Salesforce Optimizer for Mobile Lightning Pages Report (Beta) to ready your Lightning pages for the transition. And update your existing apps and pages for mobile with a few clicks. Share via: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn
