Brad DeForest

Brad adds his creativity and slightly "out of the box" thinking to a highly skilled and technically advanced team at BackOffice Thinking. He offers exceptional design skills and a strong instinct for web technology, combined with an aptitude for business strategy and new media marketing.

As Executive Creative Director he oversees all creative design, marketing strategy, user interface and experience (UI & UX) design, and website CMS (Content Management Systems) implementation projects. He and his creative team interact extensively with the CRM (Constituent Management System) and custom coding development teams.

As the design and technical teams have grown and the website design projects have increased, Brad has been at the forefront of developing a strong project management approach that includes agile process management teqniques, clear team communication, and effective budget and schedule management.

Brad is a creative guy with a strong practical streak and a focus on getting the job done and on time. His skill set ranges from Drupal and Wordpress web development to graphic arts. Recently Brad has been on the forefront of mobile responsive web design including development of mobile web apps for smartphones and tablets.

For more than 20 years he has dedicated his career to creative design and making projects come to life. With a Bachelor Degree in Architecture he began his career at an architectural and engineering firm where in addition to building design and project management, he took on the responsibility for marketing the firm including developing and implementing their web strategy. Brad went from designing places and spaces in the physical world to designing digital spaces in the virtual world.  Before coming to BackOffice Thinking Brad ran his own web design and social media consulting business with a wide spectrum of clients, from small businesses to a Fortune 500 company and several national nonprofit organizations. As the Website Administrator for Apollo Research Institute he oversaw the design and development of the organization's website and social media strategy.

Brad lives in Skippack with his wife Kate and their two teenage daughters. He is active in his community and currently serves as chairman on the Skippack Planning Commission. He has made significant contributions to historic preservation in his community through the local historical society.  Brad loves escaping now and again to go fly fishing for wild brown trout. He also enjoys sampling craft beers and brewing his own beer with friends.
