Solutions CRM Implementation Technology CiviCRM Scenario The Indian Law Resource Center needed a centralized system to manage its growing contact list and donor base more efficiently. Operating without a unified CRM made it difficult to track interactions and execute professional bulk mailings, prompting the need for a scalable, cost-effective solution to streamline their outreach and development efforts. Solution BackOffice Thinking implemented CiviCRM Spark, a streamlined SaaS version of the platform, providing a robust CRM foundation with a focus on ease of use and rapid deployment. The project included: CiviCRM Base Implementation We configured the core CiviCRM components to establish a high-functioning central database. This included setting up contact management for supporters and partners, as well as donation and activity tracking modules. These tools allow the ILRC team to see a complete history of engagement for every constituent in one place. Professional Email Marketing with Mosaico To modernize the Center’s communications, we implemented the Mosaico extension for direct bulk mailing from the CRM. We designed and built a mobile-responsive newsletter template that allows the team to create visually compelling updates while ensuring all engagement data—such as open rates and clicks—is automatically recorded in the contact records. Data Migration BackOffice led the effort to migrate historical contact and donation data into the new system. We assisted the ILRC team in preparing and cleaning their existing records, ensuring that vital historical context and giving patterns were preserved and accurately mapped during the transition to the Spark platform. Branded Form Styling We provided custom styling for CiviCRM’s public-facing pages to ensure a seamless user experience for supporters. This included the design of online donation and email subscription forms that match the Center’s existing website branding, helping to build trust and increase conversion rates for online giving. User Testing and Training The project concluded with a rigorous quality assurance phase and collaborative acceptance testing. To ensure long-term sustainability, we provided hands-on training sessions for the ILRC staff, empowering them to manage their new data environment, generate reports, and execute outreach campaigns independently. Success With CiviCRM Spark, the Indian Law Resource Center now has a “single source of truth” for their supporters and donors, eliminating data silos. The integration of Mosaico allows for professional, data-driven communications that strengthen their advocacy and fundraising initiatives. This implementation provides a high-performance framework that is ready to grow and migrate into a full CiviCRM instance as the organization’s needs evolve.
