Salesforce Tip: Switch Your Lightning Page to a Different Template

To some, this might be a small change.  However, it’s a small change that can save you lots of time!

Have your business needs changed?  Have you decided that you need more page “real estate” for some of your sections than originally planned?  Do you want to change the layout of a Lightning page because you don’t like it anymore? Don’t worry, to change the template of your Lighting Layout, you no longer have to start all over!  With just a few clicks, you can now swap a Lightning page’s template!

How to do this

When you view a Lightning page’s properties in the Lightning App Builder, click “Change” next to the Template field to start the template switching process.  There will be follow-up steps that walk you through mapping your previous layout to the new layout.
