What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a movement that was started by the New York 92nd Street Y to kick off their giving season. They modeled Giving Tuesday after the success of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and wanted to harness that same passion and consumer shopping success to benefit the philantrophic sector. Giving Tuesday celebrates individuals and corporations giving back in the form of donations, volunteerism, and awareness creation. Organizations from 40 countries and over 10,000 organizations are currently participating in this movement.
When is Giving Tuesday?
