As of July 31, 2020, Salesforce will stop offering its Data Recovery as a paid service. This service currently allows clients to contact Salesforce Support should they need to recover data in case it was permanently deleted by mistake or distorted during a migration or importing process. Since this process takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks to complete and the process is not 100% reliable, Salesforce will discontinue this service as of July 31, 2020.
Salesforce has some recommendations you can perform on a regular basis:
- Data Export Service: Manual or scheduled exports of your data via the UI.
- Data Loader: Manual on-demand exports of your data via the API.
- Report Export: Manual on-demand exports of your data via reports.
